When you're a strictly amateur photographer (on a budget), local woods are a godsend on those days when the forecast is 50-50 but you need your woodland fix. Replacing my old local (The White Horse), with what's left of the ancient Selwood forests around Somerset and Wiltshire has been where I've learnt my photography. In the woods not everyone knows your name but at least you'll always be glad you came..
