Wistman's Wood

Wistman's Wood is undoubtedly one of the most photogenic woodlands in the UK. Located in Devon, right out on Dartmoor, it is full of characterful oak trees, moss, and lichens.

In recent times, it has become a haven for day trippers, to the extent that access to this special place is now restricted, which certainly limits the photographic opportunities.

Nonetheless, if you are fortunate enough to get some fog, and not just incessant rain, many an hour can disappear in an instant.

Over the years, this has happened to me a few times, but I can assure you there have been many more occasions where I've cursed my luck and been highly grateful for a good waterproof jacket.

Some of these photos are my personal favourites, and I hope you enjoy them too!
